Lope
Material and process exploration
Product design
B R I E F
This brief was titled: Object. Meaning. Making. Table top objects were the focus, where we had to develop products that told a story and that were derived from 'making' or hands-on prototypes as a process.

Diving into physical prototypes was what informed the next step of the process. Blue foam was the chosen medium and the act of 'pressing' or 'imprinting' was the explored technique.

Lope is a little family of objects that started from exploring the creation of depths on a planar surface.

Explorations was done by building a series of physical mockups that informed the next steps led to the decision of the final outcome.

On a day to day basis, we unknowingly create these impressions or imprints, yet have no way of visualising them.
What if there was a way we could capture and picture them?

Capturing the unnoticed, unique imprints we leave behind, Lope recreates these unseen gestures, prolonging the fading moments of our everyday.
